I have been a part of this congregation since June of 1999, but I have been involved in the life of churches all my life. In fact, I would not want to even imagine what my life would be like without the love and support of a church family. Down through the years, I have developed true friendships, learned precious truths, drawn closer to God, shared joys and hardships with others, unified my own family, and received spiritual encouragement and inspiration for life – all as a part of a church family.
From my personal experience, I would like to let you in on a valuable secret: the real worth of a church is not realized in attending, but in sharing your life with others. Now, don’t get me wrong. It is definitely a good thing to attend church services, but it is a far richer experience to become involved in the life of the people who make up the church. Yes, attending church services regularly is one important way to become involved in the life of the church family, but there are many more opportunities available.
