If you are looking for a group of women with which to enjoy Bible study, spiritual growth, fellowship, encouragement and service to others while building new relationships, Meridian Women's Ministries has a place for you. You can participate in as many of these groups as you care to attend.
There are monthly meetings to study and discuss subjects to help you grow spiritually, share prayer needs, and enjoy refreshments and fellowship.
There are week day bible studies and monthly meetings of the Red Hat Society.
Meridian Women's Ministries also has a service of providing meals for families who experience a need due to illness or hospitalization. Several times a year (for instance at Christmas, Mother's Day and once during the summer) there are gatherings of all the groups. It might be a brunch, lunch, tea or picnic. At these times information is shared with regard to what is planned for the coming months.
We support state and national projects of the Women of the Church of God through funds raised by an annual rummage sale, the Christ's Birthday Offering and by collecting items for school kits, tool kits, baby supplies, personal hygiene items, etc., to be distributed by our missionaries.
A fun experience each spring is attending the convention of the Indiana South Women of the Church of God. The 2005 convention will be here in Indianapolis. There is also a retreat each fall at Camp Challenge near Bedford, Indiana.
